Story
This Limited Edition is part of Forest Coffee’s Reforest Project, produced from Caturra cherries grown in Caldas, Colombia, and processed at El Vergel Estate in Fresno, Tolima. This lot reflects a commitment to sustainability and climate resilience while showcasing the craft of small-scale Colombian coffee producers.
Ripe Caturra cherries are hand-selected and undergo a 36-hour pre-fermentation, followed by a 120-hour Honey Process fermentation under shade. This slow, careful process brings out natural sweetness and layered fruity flavors. The beans are then gently dried using mechanical dryers and rested for 30 days to allow the flavors to fully harmonize.
The result is a fruity and expressive cup with juicy passion fruit, tart tamarind, and delicate jasmine. Tropical Nectar highlights both thoughtful processing and a shared investment in the future of Colombian coffee.
