Story
This coffee comes from Buku Abel village, nestled in the Hambella district of the Guji Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia. Grown at elevations between 2,100 and 2,350 masl, the coffee benefits from the region's cool climate and fertile soil, contributing to its unique flavor profile.
The coffee is produced by smallholder farmers who cultivate Ethiopia Heirloom varieties, characterized by their genetic diversity and resilience. These varieties are often cultivated under shaded banana trees, promoting biodiversity and sustainable farming practices.
After handpicking the ripe cherries, they undergo a meticulous natural process, drying on raised beds under the sun. This careful method results in a cup that is bright with strawberry, subtle florals, and a clean black tea finish.
