Story
Hacienda Sonora in Costa Rica’s West Valley produces this honey-processed coffee, a careful blend of 50% black-honey processed beans and 50% natural-processed beans. The black honey beans are dried with all mucilage intact, creating a velvety texture and rich sweetness often nicknamed “red gold”.
Grown among indigenous trees and diverse vegetation, the farm benefits from fertile volcanic soils and a healthy ecosystem that contributes to the coffee’s clarity and depth. The combination of natural and honey processing techniques develops layers of flavor, highlighting honeycrisp apple, tangy tamarind, and bright clarity.
